I am really excited to announce my new show called Once Upon a Time in Beverly Hills — a rock 'n' roll musical journey of a lifetime.

An Evening with Billy Hinsche

Billy Hinsche 2019

I'll be presenting what will be an intimate stories behind the music show. In addition to lots of great tunes, there will be multi-media featuring vintage television and film clips along with rare photos. I'll tell you about the early years with my successful '60s pop music group Dino, Desi & Billy that will include recollections of personal and professional interactions with everyone from Dean, Frank, Sammy and Joey to the great Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.

Of course, there will be songs from The Beach Boys' incredible catalog that I had the privilege of performing with them for 30 years. I'll include a few of my own original compositions like “One More Night Alone” recorded by my brother-in-law Beach Boy Carl Wilson, “For the Love of a Woman” recorded by Dean Martin, and the stories behind the music.

There will be anecdotes of working in the recording studio or onstage with everyone from Elton John to Jimmy Page, Billy Preston to Billy Joel, The Righteous Brothers to the Everly Brothers, Jackson Browne to Warren Zevon, Ray Charles to Robert Lamm, and tales of close encounters with Elvis, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and many more, including performances for four U.S. Presidents.

There will also be a Q&A portion of the evening so you can ask me whatever you would like. And for sure, there will be some special guests joining me onstage at certain venues.

From my birthplace in Manila to growing up in Beverly Hills, from The Hollywood Bowl to Madison Square Garden, I think you'll enjoy my show filled with lots of great music, fond memories we can all share and definitely some laughs along the way.

I invite you to join me for an intimate evening of songs and stories of a rock 'n' roll musical journey of a lifetime — straight from the heart ...

“Billy's show was amazing. He entertained for 2 mesmerizing, jaw-dropping hours. His stories are just incredible, all true, about the songs of The Beach Boys, Dino, Desi & Billy, and collaborations with the top rock stars from age 13 to the present.

Billy's performance caused me to scream like a 14-year-old fan, and he also had me roaring with laughter during portions of the show. Such great singing and incredible piano playing.

Not only is Billy a great entertainer, he is a great person — genuinely kind hearted, generous of his heart and spirit, class. Thank you Billy! This is one-of-a-kind rock 'n' roll history!

Other than my wedding, it was the most fun night of my life!”

“Billy is such a warm and talented guy and so funny too. It was a joy to see him perform. He has a really special way of engaging with the audience and his storytelling that went along with the music adds a wonderful dimension to his performance!”

“Billy strikes this fragile balance between singing, playing, stand-up and reminiscing that is pure entertainment. He draws his audience in by the force of his personality, his spontaneity and the performance of some of everybody's favorite pop music. He then tells you the stories behind some of these hits from the perspective of someone who helped make them. You feel like an insider. With whatever else you may feel, you will experience, as I did, his joyous celebration of a magical era and the music it produced.”
